Transylvania, 1456
"In ancient Greek mythology, ambrosia is sometimes the food, sometimes the drink, of the gods, often depicted as conferring ageless immortality upon whomever consumes it." Ambrosia was usually referred to as a nectar, which would bring one to think of a thick, sweet substance. True Ambrosia however tastes more metallic than sweet...for true Ambrosia is human blood.
This Greek story of old causes many to believe that vampirism started in Greece, then spread throughout Europe. Over the past century, the Contintent has been in constant fear of the vampire, as well as similar 'monsters' like the incubus, succubus, and witches. Those in Transylvania in particular fear the night, staying indoors, numerous locks keeping them safe. Rumour has it that their current ruler Vlad Dracul is actually one of the monster!
There have been many attempts on his life, with no success. The dark and handsome Prince is in fact a vampire, and plans on ruling Transilvania and Wallachia for decades, perhaps centuries to come. Many believe that he is building his very own army of vampires, soldiers who will empower him, and help him in ruling his lands. Rumor even has it that he will wish to spread his Empire, that he will engulf all of Europe.
This has the neighboring countries and their rulers very anxious. Will they band together in the attempt to eliminate Vlad Dracul before he becomes too powerful?
If this were to be true, who would you side with? Would you become one of the monsters, or fight against them?
Can you resist the temptation of immortality?
