 When vampires suddenly move into an area, the human population suddenly drops. Here, in the small town of Blauer, vampires live peacefully. They keep themselves just under the radar, not doing too much damage, for when they first moved into this area, they kept their hunting on a low. These vampires have created a society within the world of the humans, living as if they belong, never giving themselves away. So what would be so interesting about this place? Well, the recent society of vampires has attracted a creature that is almost impossible to find. The Bruised, as they are so 'elaborately' called, are the product of vampires and humans. These creatures are extremely rare, but they have begun to populate the town, their numbers considered high to be such an abnormality.
With these arrival of these new creatures, change has begun. Not only have The Bruised came into being, but the rise in vampire population has come to the attention of the Lycans, or the Werewolves. A fairly large pack has moved into the area, making their presence known, for they are more than ready to attack any reckless vampires they might find. With the Lycans here, the air of war has suddenly appeared, threatening to destroy the society found among the humans.
