carlota school of the gifted was founded in the
late 1800's by carlota hauser. it was said that madame
hauser had a gift, a gift of moving things with her
mind, most thought it was witchcraft and chased her
along the eastern border of the united states. of course
all along the way, carlota began meeting people who
were just like her. gifted as well as good.

reaching what would soon become augusta, maine.
carlota and a small band of followers decided to create
a place where people of their kind could come and
learn in a safe environment. without judgment and
with out fear. they created carlota school of the gifted.

now decades later, carlota living on only in spirit has
made a safe haven for people who are unique. who have
special gifts and talents.
