Shes got some scars on her arm from when she used to cutt after her mom and dad died. And a few more up her arm after she found out she had cancer. Speaking of which she currently has long dark brown hair that gose right below her shoulder blades and bangs cut off right above her caramel brown eyes. Shes fairly ok with her apperance.

Alexandra Asphodel Tranter was born to Charlie and Tammy Tranter on october 31. The day was hot yet the wind was calm and the only sounds that could be heard threw out the house were Tammy screaming in pain. They rushed her off to the hospital and at 11:46 pm Alex was born. But she wasn't a healthy baby. Alex was born with a really slow immune system and spent most of her time up until she was 1 staying in the hospital. She finally got a bit stronger and was able to go home. As she was growing up she couldn't really go out side and play with her friends and she had to be home schooled so she wouldn't have the chance to get sick. Alex hated being bottled up inside and decided that she was going to fight with her parents to let her go to a real school and her parents agreed since she hadn't showed any signs of getting sick in a while and she was SO excited. It was 6th grade and it was her first day of school, her parents had agreed to drive her. But on the way there something happened.
They were turning to go into the school parking lot and had the right away when they got slammed head on by a pick up truck. Both her parents died in the accident but since Alex was sitting in the back seat she was OK, just a little banged up. After the accident she became very close to her big brother and her and him had to move in with their aunt. Alex blamed her self because if she wouldn't of wanted to go to regular school then she wouldn't of had to be driven and her parents would probably still be alive. She shut her self off from every one around her because she wanted them to go on living their happy lives while she sulked in her bed room wishing that her parents were still alive.
She refused help from any one, that was until after her 13th birthday she started getting sick. It wasn't a normal sick because it kept getting worse and worse. Her Aunt and brother took her to the hospital where after several tests Alex was diagnosed with Leukemia. Everyone's worst fear had came true and Jen found her self practically living at the children's hospital in a tight clean safe room. She felt like a lab rat having to be there all the time and more importantly she felt weak and pathetic. The treatment they were giving her had caused her hair to fall out and Alex never went any where in public. After all, how many 13 year old girls are bald thanks to leukemia treatment? During the time she was in the hospital she started to develop really aggressive behavior and severe mood swings. She was taken to a special doctor and after several more tests she was also diagnosed with mild Bipolar Disorder. She felt like her life was 1 big screw up and that all she was going to do in life was rot away in a hospital room and be tested for 100 different things every day.
Finally they got word that the treatment had worked and that her leukemia had gone away for the time being, but that it could come back if she wasn't careful. Her Aunt thought it might be a good idea to move her and her brother from Hawaii to New York because she thought that it might be a good restart for them. Plus it had a really good children's hospital if she got sick again. She thought this was going to be perfect. But then her Aunt told her that she had to go to public school because her aunt had to work as a pastry chef. Alex begged to be home schooled because she liked staying home with her aunt and making pastry's and cooking in the kitchen and having yummy treats for when her brother got home.
Finally after lots of fighting she agreed to go to public school and got really nervous about starting her freshman year in a school with other kids because she never really got used to the whole school thing. She was mostly home schooled her entire life and pretty much only knew what her brother told her and what she saw in movies, so she got a pretty good idea. The small freshman tagged along with her older brother like she was a lost puppy. He was popular and every one knew him and she was like a little alien that just arrived on earth, no one knew her and she wanted to keep it that way. But apparently she had made the mistake of always hanging out with her brother so it only took a few days for her to be thrust into the popular life, but it didn't feel right because she knew that she didn't belong there.
Sure they had the money but Alex never dressed the part and she sure as heck didn't act the part, for long. She quickly picked up on the whole 'I'm better then you bow down to me' type of attitude. She studied how her brother acted around his friends and thats how she started to act. It didn't take long for her to start fitting the prep mold and she hated it. High school was so full of back stabbing and at 1 second every one in school could know your secrets. She had built up such a good wall to keep every one from finding out her secrets that she actually started to forget them her self. Well that is until she has to take her BPD medication every day. Her brother and her have thankfully become very close over everything they have been threw and she wouldn't be able to do this whole high school thing with out him. He protects her and makes sure she takes her medicine so she doesn't loose it in the middle of a hallway at school or something.
Now shes just trying to get threw this crazy movie she got stuck in called life. She wished she had her parents to help her threw everything, like most kids did. But in the end she wouldn't trade having her aunt and brother there for her for anything. Things are starting to mellow out for them, shes just trying to get threw high school with out any major roller coaster rides again and so far its working. Except for the fact she isn't happy with her self, because shes not being her self. But she is being who she thinks will last longer in high school, the media perfect image. But with her starting to get sick again and the fear of a leukemia relapse hanging around the corner, she is starting to see her true colors and where she really belongs in life. And shes starting to find out that the past didn't make her weak, it made her strong. Strong enough to handle anything. Now shes just waiting to find out whats going to happen in life.

Alex doesn't look like she would be in the prep clique. She doesn't dress preppy and she doesn't care about where she shops because as long as the clothes look good then she will wear them. She doesn't care if they come from the top designers or good will. A lot of people say she doesn't belong in the popular clique because of how she dresses. But her attitude really does say different. Most of the time. She has 3 main attitudes she goes by. Anger, Preppy Popular, and chill. Some times they can change from day to day and some times they can change from minute to minute. Her brother always jokes with her and says she has split personality and Bipolar disorder. But what most people don't know is that she really is Bipolar.
She does hate the fact that she got tossed into the popular scene because of her brother but she sure as heck uses it to her advantage. But she does have a sweet side. As for her temper she is one not to be reckoned with. For her petite small frame she holds a lot of anger. People take her for granted for she is short and skinny but she can turn around and show you why you should do that in a matter of a few seconds. There has been countless occasions that she has proven herself bigger than her size. She has the fiery temper of a large buff murderer. And don't ever think that she wouldn't come to those terms. For whenever she gets mad she tends to black out a little bit and doesn't know what it is she could do or is doing.
But her preppy popular side is what can help get her threw having to be labeled as a popular. She learned a lot from her brother. She knows how to put others down to make her self feel better and she can be a total bitch when she wants to. Shes mostly like that around her popular 'friends' because she knows thats how she has to act to fit in with them. This side of her is totally fake and she hates having to do it but she doesn't want to loose her popular position because she likes all the perks. Like the guys and the good lunch spots, shes so milking this for all its worth and she doesn't mind a bit. Just as long as no one really finds out.
The only people that ever really get to see the normal chill side of her is her big brother. When shes around people that she feels comfortable with and shes not at school and her fake friends aren't any where to be seen then she is a totally chill and laid back person. She loves cooking for her friends because she likes to invent stuff in the kitchen and make things taste good. She also likes to color and she likes coloring books and crayons. She can be such a little kid when shes with her friends and thats her true side. She loves dinosaurs and chocolate milk with bendy straws, her brother and friends all say shes like a little kid but she just says she still has a sense of childhood in her heart. She just wished she could be like that all the time and not have to be some preppy popular person.
Alex is a sharpie addict and caffeine addict. But giving Alex coffee would probably be the worst thing a person could do. Because when she drinks coffee or an energy drink she is bouncing off the walls and shes all ready naturally hyper. But
giving her caffeine is like lighting off a nuke. She also likes to draw on her self when she is in her hyper state, but she is also VERY rebellious if she is hyped up on energy drinks. This is another situation that can make her short dangerous temper spike up. Shes tried for so long to control her behavior but it is pretty unpredictable she hates it but she knows she has to live with it. Her brother has always told her that she got delt a bad hand in life but that its going to make her strong when she is older.
Secrets are a big part of every high schoolers personality and life. Some times a secret can make or break you and Alex is no exception to the rule. She has a fair share of secrets but most of them are just parts of her past that she doesn't want people to know. Like no one knows that her parents died, every one just thinks that shes living with her brother because her mom is on business in Paris and her father is in the Army, she doesn't want peoples sympathy. Which is also why no one knows that she had leukemia when she was little. She went threw chemo and lost all her hair, this was around when she was 12 and since then she has been in remission but shes been getting sick a lot more recently and her and her brother are scared that its going to come back.
She doesn't want to have that happen again because it made her feel so weak and like she couldn't do anything by her self. It also made her feel empty because while she was getting her treatment at the children's hospital all the other kids had their parents their with them crying and laughing. She had her aunt and her brother, the closest thing she got to a family at that time. Some therapists say that her parents dieing and her worrying about getting leukemia again is why her emotions are so out of wack and why she got diagnosed with mild Bipolar Disorder, because since shes so stressed she doesn't know how to control her emotions or which emotions to pick. Life for her is a major roller coaster ride, she doesn't know when shes going to be shooting up or spirleing down, shes just waiting for the roller coaster to stop.
