None could win the heart of the heiress until a young up and coming political figure Harper Gerald caught her eye. They were the it couple in New York, everyone was talking about them and it wasn’t too long before they married in a fairy tale wedding all girls envied. Shortly after this they moved to Miami, Harper was from Florida and if he wanted to be a senator for his state he needed to get back in touch with his constituents. Jillian and Harper easily won over Miami with their charm and soon they began to have children. The Miami political scene was in love with Harper and the Miami fashion seen soon adopted Jillian as a style icon.
From his birth Gavin was easily recognizable, his father was a senator and his mother was splashed all over page six by the time he was born. It was hard growing up in the spot light, he’s had a personal body guard from the time he was two. Each of his six siblings did. When he was younger he thought his body guard was his own personal playmate and so he liked it at first. As he grew older he realized that this man was there to protect from those who might want to harm his influential father and he began to get paranoid and anxious. It wasn’t until middle school that Gavin began to hate his parents for what they were.
As much as Gavin hates being Miami Royalty he just is. Because he has been so spoiled there is really no way for him to be anything else than what he is. Now in high school he like the other members of his clique are ruling the school as well as the social scene. It’s just who he is. He’s getting ready for college and the last place he wants to go is Miami. Not to mention the Ivy Leagues are sending him information, they all want a piece of his father’s money. A Gerald is a catch and well the girls are all trying to get his attention.
personality , Gavin is a character that no one really understands including his family. He is arrogant. It’s just something that comes with the territory. The Gerald family is rich and perfect and the total package and all the Gerald children have been taught that no one can ever really be good enough for them. So they all have this slight arrogance that comes out when he’s with his friends as well as when talking to those of a lower status. Its not intentional, it just happens.
This arrogance leads to his hero fascination. He wants to be the prince that saves Cinderella, or the prince who kisses Snow White. While he sleeps with and dates those in his clique he is more interesting in saving someone of a lower status, someone pure and worthy of him. This of course is complicated by the fact no one is really good enough for him but what prince doesn’t want to fall in love with the common girl who doesn’t care about his money and his status.
Once you get past everything deep down you get a charming fellow who actually does care about things. He wants to be a family man, he wants to follow in his father footsteps and make him proud. It’s a lot of pressure to be Gavin Gerald, but he takes it in stride and wishes he were of a lower status so when he finds his Cinderella she is perfect for him, and not someone of a lower status making her not good enough.
