Nathaniel Devine furrowed his eyebrows as he read over some of his homework. What. The. Hell. He didn't get anything that was in his notes. Yeah, yeah, he knew that was his fault for not paying attention when the teacher was writing them down, but still who did? Besides, it wasn't like he intended on doing that, there was just other things on his mind and he'd found something more interesting to talk about with his friends. That of course meant one thing: sports. The whole class they had been talking about basketball while his teacher sat there glaring at them every few minutes. The rational thing to do would be to shut up right? But no, Nate wasn't exactly what you call rationable he found it way too amusing so he just continued. Its not that he didn't take school seriously, he did, and he was getting good grades, its just that it was so boring sometimes.
Finally, after about ten more minutes, he shut his book and threw it across the room, making it land straight on top of his bed. He grinned as it didn't fall. Now, for the fun part, finding out what he was supposed to do. That may be a problem when he was trying to decide what but at the moment he knew what he needed to do first, and that would be taking a shower. Really, he'd been sitting in his room for a while, he needed it. That was why he got up, grabbing his towel, a shirt and some pants - just picking things randomly - and heading straight into the shower.
He got out a few minutes later, his hair still a little wet from the shower. He glanced out his window, perhaps he could go to the beach? Hot girls, hot girls in bikinis... He grinned at the thought of that. What a guy, huh? Still, he looked around the room, now in search for his keys. Unfortunately though he wasn't sure where it was. That was why it took him another five mintues until he found them. As soon as that happened he hopped into his car and drove to the beach. He got out and looked around, finding a spot by the water.

Blake had been doing her homework for about two hours and was pretty much done with them. She got up from her desk and stretched herself before looking out of the window it was a beautiful day and she was currently wasting it inside. She looked at the homework she still needed to do on her desk and once again out of the window. The was a math homework and a book report waiting for her. She figured the math home work could wait and she could start reading the book at the beach. That way she could get her need for sun and work on her homework.
She quickly changed into a baby blue string bikini and put on a summer dress over it. She took a beach bag and threw a few things inside of it. As she reached for her cell phone she stopped for a minute wondering if she should call someone to come hangout with her at the beach. It was of course tempting, but then if she had a friend with her there was no way she would read the book. With a sigh she put cell phone in her bag and walked out to the parking lot. She sat herself behind the wheel of the car and drove to the beach.
Once she finally got there she let out another sigh. There was so many people she wasn’t sure if she would be able to find a comfortable place. Of course she could ask any random person if she could sit with him/her and was pretty sure the person would say yes. But she clearly didn’t want to sit with a strange. She walked out of the car her book bag in her hand. As soon as she had reached the warm sand she took her flip flop off wanting to feel the warmness on her feet. If this wasn’t heaven she had no idea what was.
As she made her way between the bodies on the sand she recognize the silhouette of someone oh so familiar to her. Nate. Even from here she could see how good he look. She felt the butterflies in her stomach as she made her way over to him. “Hey Nate”

nate was enjoying the warm weather, it wasn't anything new, since the weather around there was amazing all the time but still. one of the main reasons he loved the place was because of the weather. it wasn't ever really horrible around there. that and of course the college, since they had a great basketball team going for them. one that could offer great opportunities. yes, if you hadn't noticed already, basketball was an important thing in this young mans life.
He was really hoping that he would run into someone. soon. really, he was the kind of person that needed company. not all the time, maybe he liked his alone time sometimes, but most of the time he liked having someone to talk to at least. that way it wouldn't be so boring. not that it was boring at that moment since he was just sitting down in the sand, enjoying the sun, and the view. he knew he would run into someone eventually though, it was miami, the place was usually sunny and it was known for its beaches right? who wouldn't like a day on the beach? now all he had to do was wait.
he looked up as he heard his nate being said, even without looking up he knew immediately who it was. he would know that angelic voice anywhere. it belonged to one of his best and oldest friends. blake jorden. also one of the two girls that he was confused over, so confused to the point where it kind of annoyed him. but really, that wasn't there fault. no way was it there fault that their best friend was such a clueless and confused guy who had no idea why he was any of those things.
he finally turned his head up to see her, just that sight made his breath get caught in his throat for a moment. he swallowed, trying not to show it. at least he was good at that, hiding his emotions. he grinned, running a hand through his hair as he sat up hey he said, softly. he got up and gave her a hug, it was like a thing that he always had to do when he saw her. no, not some hormonal thing, just because he was used to it. though, he usually tried really hard not to think about anything else. he pulled away came for a nice walk on the beach? make those guys drool? he teased.
words hah no idea ;P notesfinally posted. sorry about that <333

She knew that even before he had a chance to look up Nate had recognized her. She was pretty sure they could recognized each other in a heartbeat even if they were surrounded by a sea of strangers. They had grew up together, partied together, went to school together and most recently they had slept together. Of course there best friend had no clue about this. She also had a crush on Nate and the last thing Blake wanted was to hurt her best friend.
Blake watched him get up and felt his arms around her. She felt as if her heart had missed a beat. Even if she didn’t want to when she felt nate that close to her it always reminded her of the night they had spend together and how much she missed him. If it wasn’t of Sarah Blake would date him in a heartbeat. But she couldn’t bring herself to let him know. Sometimes she wanted to tell him, she missed him and wanted to be with him as more than a friend but she had always stopped herself.
She wondered if he felt the same way as her as she hugged him back breathing in his scent. And broken their embraces and sat down on the sand. “nah I’m suppose to be here to read a book for school, beside there is no guy drooling.” She said with a laugh. She knew she looked good but she didn’t really like to think about it. Of course every once in a while she would use her looks to get her way but most of the time she was rather taken back by the way people looked at her. Which is probably what made her more attractive.
“Now come on Nate sit with me” She smiled at him. “How have you been, what brings you here?” she saw a few girls giving her the dirty look. Of course now that Blake was here none of them stood chance of getting nate for the day.
