The grin stayed on his as he waited for her reply. Even though he'd be fine with either answer he was really beginning to hope that she'd agree. He wasn't sure why after all it was rather silly. They were just joking around yet he wanted to hear the words come out of her mouth. He wanted to hear her say that he was awesome. When she spoke he laughed a little, "Oh come on Steph just admit it" He said jokingly, "You think I'm awesome" Seth felt the need to tease her a bit more about it. It was amusing and he wanted to see if she'd every actually admit him to him. But then he noticed as her facial expressions changed. It was after he had asked who her room mate was. She must have really not liked this girl from the way she was looking and then when she spoke it was clear that they definitely didn't get along. However when he heard the name he couldn't help but laugh quietly. It just struck him funny. Sarah and Stephanie were surprisingly alike. They both had similar qualities about them. "Whoa you have to stay with Sarah. That must be um quite the experience" He said as he thought about the situation. They were both royals, very popular and had that queen bee quality about them. Putting them together was definitely not a good idea.
Seth looked down at her with a smile on his face. He couldn't believe it. They were going to go out together. It was going to be like a date. Well it kinda was a date. He had asked her to go to a club with him that was a very date like scenario. He was very happy about it and even happier that she was interested in going too. He was nervous but still excited and happy all at the same time. It seemed like he tons of emotions were running through him at the moment. When she began to talk again he listened inattentively. She was now trying to lighten the mood a little. Something that he would always do. He returned her smile as he began to reply, "Hey don't worry, I promise that I won't let you down." When he said that his smile turned from just a normal smile to a nice sweet smile. He wasn't going to tell her that he would go and then not show up. That just wasn't Seth like at all. Plus he was really looking forward to it now. "You have to make sure that you are there too though, I don't want you to abandon me" He added and then held out his hand, "Pinky swear that you'll come" A few small chuckles were let out as he said this but he stuck out his pinky waiting for her to link hers with his. Sure it was childish but oh well.
Hearing the mhmm and seeing the smile form on her lips he knew that she wasn't satisfied yet. What should he do? Give her an even better apology? Yeah maybe. It could probably work. He looked at her and noticed that her arms were still crossed over her chest. He could probably use that somehow but for now a silly thought popped into his head. He started swaying from side to side as he moved a little close to her, "Forgive me, forgive me, forgive me dear stephanie" He sang with a goofy smile on his face. Oh this was entertaining and very enjoyable. Today would've been very lame and unamusing if he hadn't found her. After his little song he stopped swaying as he was close to her. He looked down and gently uncrossed her arms, "Please just accept my apology, if not tell me what I can do" He said as he uncrossed her arms. Once he did that he smiled but let go of her and slid his hands into his back pockets as he waited for her response to that.
Keeping his hands in his back pockets he watched her. He wanted her. Badly. His feelings towards her were so intense he just wished that he could hold her closely in her arms forever. He just wanted to kiss her. Like he use to, deeply and full of passion. But he knew he couldn't. It was really hard to keep himself under control right now. She was just so beautiful, gorgeous no sexy. He was surprised that he actually was doing such a good job of keeping his feelings inside, of holding back. Biting his lip softly he watched her still longing for her but paid attention when she began to speak. He stopped biting his lip when he heard what she said, "Really?" This time his voice wasn't as quiet as it use to be. He didn't really think that she could've missed him more than he had missed her. The way he had missed her, it was insane. She was hardly ever off of his mind. There was hardly ever a day that he hadn't missed her. He wasn't really sure where this conversation was going but he was curious to find it out. He wondered if she would elaborate on how much she had missed him. He didn't expect her too but it was just something that was on his mind.

'Ill never turn my back on someone who loved me Oh come on Steph just admit it
Even hearing him say her name made her head spin circles. It was some kind of affect he had on her and she couldn't quite pinpoint it but it was there, overwhelming her with every word he spoke, every thing he did.Funnily enough she thought she had forgotten him, that he was an element of her past, that her heart had mended but she thought wrong, this conversation was strictly proving against that."Seth" she started with his name to officially attract his attention "No" was all she said as she shook her head and formed a small smile, proving that she wasn't giving in, maybe that small smile resembled that she did truly think positively about him but for now they were teasing and it wasn't really a time where she could say 'yeah i think you are so amazing and awesome' because part of her knew if she said that then a truthful tone would show in her voice and the last thing she wanted was another awkward moment to share with him.
Seeing him try to hide the fact that he was laughing to himself Stephanie raised one eyebrow and gave a small side smile."Don't laugh, it really isn't funny at all" she stated quite seriously as she couldn't help but crack a small laugh herself. He was right it was quite the experience, very emotionally tiring."mhmm, quite the experience alright, quite the bad experience" she added as she rolled her eyes, thinking about it her and Sarah were similar and that was what made them completely hate each other, they were like animals guarding their territory with every last inch of fight they had left in them.Though they hated each other on such a level that it was the bitchy kind of hate, the one where they pretended to get along, pretended to have decent conversation when really, deep down she felt like slapping her silly.
Promise? Promise was a big word to use, especially when he had let her down in the past well this wasn't the same scenario but still, there were times where she could get hurt, if only he knew how she felt then he would definitely take it more seriously. But she sort of had that feeling, that feeling deep down where she felt he had changed, that he wasn't going to let her down, so it was only a night out to a club, she didn't want to be stood up or hurt."Promise is a big word Mr Jorden" she smiled, teasing him slightly yet there were elements of truth in her voice.Shaking her head when he mentioned her abandoning him she had to giggle to herself "i wouldn't do that, you know me..honesty is my policy" she joked and gave a small wink, clearly that wasn't exactly true but she meant the first part, she would show up like her life depended on it.Hearing his childish request she just let her jaw drop like she was disgusted in him, though she was joking, she raised her hand and held her pinky out waiting for him to intertwine his with hers so they could truly get this promise activated.
Was he swaying? was the question brought forward to her mind. She couldn't make it out properly as she was staring from the corner of her eye so when she turned her head that extra bit she took a real glance at him.Yeah, he was swaying. She laughed at his childishness as she rolled her eyes once more when he spoke.Feeling his hands against her arms she had to look down, follow what they were doing, when he uncrossed her arms she stayed silent for a while just watching as his hands slid back into his pockets.Taking a breath she looked up to him, listening to his question "hmm, what can you do?" she questioned with a smirk on her face "Buy me my first drink when we go out" she said letting the smirk grow.
Seth's voice grew louder now, his voice had that extra bit of confidence that hers lacked. If only she could speak up like that, if only her mind and heart weren't combining into a big crazy heap of emotions and feelings then she could tell him everything.Well maybe not everything, she didn't want to let her guard down too much but she wanted to tell him things that she hadn't been able to in the past. The main thing being 'i love you' , because she did love him, it took her the whole of their break from seeing each other to realize it but she did.It was true. She hadn't felt this way before, she remembered thinking she was in love in her relationship pre Seth but now, with these feelings inside of her she knew it wasn't a patch on love. Was it possible to not be able to breathe when that one person is around? To have your heart skip a few beats and have your stomach flip so many times your head starts to spin? Thats how she felt when she saw him and that was how she felt right now.Looking to the ground down to her heels she nodded "if only you knew Seth" she replied still quiet, not wanting to elaborate too much but hoping to give him an idea.

Seth waited for her response, a smile on his face as he did so and then when she said he name the smile widened. He figured that she would agree with him this time. Boy was he wrong though. She continued speaking giving him a big fat no. The smile quickly flew off of his face and he frowned slightly. It was only a joking frown, he wasn't truly sad about that, after all she probably just didn't want to admit it. He shook his head, "Why can't you just agree with me on this one thing? You know give me my little moment of glory? Is that too hard?" He questioned and then crossed his arms over his own chest pretending to be slightly annoyed with her. "Meanie" He said and then turned away from her so that she wasn't in his line of vision any more. He was basically copying what she had done earlier when he called her his servant girl. He was sort of in a way mocking her but then in another he wanted to know what she would do about his actions.
Listening to her speak he nodded, how could Sarah and Stephanie have ended up being room mates? It was just so weird. And funny. In his opinion anyway. "I'm sorry, i just can't help it. I know what Sarah is like, it's just sorta funny" He said to her, it's not like he'd lie about it. He wasn't going to lie about anything to her. Even if it was just something small like this. He had messed up in the past and wasn't going to chance something like that again. But then when she continued he quickly replied, "You'll just have to bare it out.. but try not to kill her. You must control that little temper of yours" Seth said with a small smile and poked her nose after he said the last few words. That was more normal Seth but then he realized that, that was something he use to do when they were dating. Back then he'd always do something like that. Like he'd say how cute she was and then gently poke her nose and right after that they would usually kiss. He had forgotten about it when he poked her. It just happened because it felt so natural. Maybe she wouldn't remember him doing that but then there was the chance that she would. He just hoped that she didn't mind if she did remember.
Promise is a big word Mr Jorden. When he heard that he nodded, she had sort of a teasing tone of voice but he knew that she was being serious. "I know and I intend to keep this one" He clearly stated not using the same tone she had used but more of a serious one. When he messed up before he knew that he had lost most of her trust, he needed to redeem himself. He knew that this date wouldn't totally make up for everything but it was a start wasn't it? He wanted everything to be okay between them again. Just the way it use to be, not to mention he wanted to be her boyfriend again. That was really far off though, he knew that for sure. He would just have to be there for her and see what happens in the future, hopefully everything would turn out well. "True" He said and gave her a small smile as he held out his pinky. But then his smile became wider when she held up her own pinky. He intertwined their pinkies and looked at her, "Well now I guess it's official" He said with a soft laugh as he looked down at her but then at their hands again.
"Buy you a drink when we go out.." He said and removed his hand from his back pocket up to his face. He began to stroke his chin as he thought about her suggestion. "You know I think I could do that for you Miss Devine" Seth answered with a smile and then let his hand fall back to his side as he looked at her. Going out to a club with her was going to be really fun, each moment that he thought about it caused him to become even more excited. Although he wasn't showing it or well he was trying not to. Then he became a bit quiet again. He had gotten a slight boost of confidence for a second there but it didn't seem to last long. He watched as she looked down at her feet when she spoke. He listened and took in each word that she said. "You know, I think I have a pretty good idea on how you have felt.." He said with not a quiet voice but just a soft tone. He moved his gaze from being on her to looking around the campus for a while. He noticed a few people walking by, they appeared to be looking at him and Stephanie but he didn't pay them much attention or really care that they were. He just ignored them and began to focus on her again.

'Ill never turn my back on someone who loved me There it was.The 'Seth frown' as she had named it in her head, that familiar facial expression he often did when he was pretending to be angry with her, god she loved it, it was funny to see him actually try and act all aggressive and angry because when truth came into it he was the complete opposite, he was like a sheep in lions clothing.A true sweetheart that wouldn't hurt anybody."It isn't hard, i just don't like to lie, i mean if i told you that you were awesome right now id be giving you a false sense of hope" she replied giving a small smirk as she raised her eyebrows showing that she wasn't giving in that easy, she wasn't going to flat out admit this because when she stuck to something she would follow through, a true Stephanie trait.Even if it was something stupid like this.
"Oh gosh" she said in a joking tone when he called her a meanie and turned away. Was he mocking her actions from earlier? Typical Seth.Rolling her eyes she walked over to him and tapped his shoulder "Ya know, you really need to get your own material" she teased as she realized he wasn't turning around, even after she tapped his shoulder. She laughed and walked around to face him, as she did so she just looked up into his eyes and gave a cute puppy dog look, hoping he would just forgive her.Listening to Seth talking about the topic of Sarah she raised one eyebrow, how did he know what she was like? Were they in the same class or something? That didn't make sense because she remembered Sarah mentioning something about Law and if Seth did art they couldn't have crossed paths in that way.Maybe they went out on a date? Biting her lip with jealousy she looked up to him once more, trying to hide the little green monster inside of her as she parted her lips to speak "you know what she is like?" she questioned.
Trying to forget about those thoughts running through her mind she had to laugh at his next statement Try not to kill her it was funny because it seemed like he read her mind."Temper? What temper, i think I'm quite laid back thank you very much" she said in a less than serious tone as she placed her hands on her hips.Dropping her hands to her sides when he poked her nose she had memories flash though her mind, memories of when her and Seth were together , he always used to do that to her, tell her that she looked beautiful or cute and then poke her nose, which often led into a kiss. And god did she want to kiss him right now, though she couldn't.She stood in silence for a while after blushing and gave a small smile to him.
Stephanie waited for him to speak after she spoke about promises, it was like she had to hear what he was going to say or she would die, she had that bubbling feeling of anticipation inside of her as the seconds rolled by feeling like hours. Finally when he spoke she listened and smiled, smiled at his serious tone, she knew he was going to turn up, that he was going to be there for her this time.Even if it did mean in the friendly sense it was something to look forward to, something she wished would turn more than friendly. But wishes were separated from reality and she needed to understand that.As she held out her hand she waited for his finger to touch hers and when it did she felt a sudden rush of excitement, her body went hot as she looked up into his eyes, there it went again, one touch from him and it sent her insane.Trying not to let herself get lost in his eyes she nodded when he spoke "Yup, official.." she replied hopelessly failing.
Seth repeated her request and at that she nodded, watching him stroke his chin she shook her head at him and laughed "Oh god.." she said in between laughs as she rolled her eyes.Raising both arms in the air when he said that her request was possible she shook her hands as if she were celebrating "YES! that means I'm getting a free drink, i like being so powerful" she teased as she lowered her arms and crossed them over her chest again. Those few moments of silence between them seemed to intensify her mood, she was really into him, more than he could have known at that point. And although there was silence around it wasn't awkward, it was perfect. It allowed her time to think about the two of them, everything she was going to forget from the past, she was going to give him another chance, maybe not in the love area as of yet but friends seemed good, seemed great even."Is that because you've felt the same?" she asked, ok so they were pretty much explaining things here without actually having to explain them, it seemed pretty good because they wouldn't quite know what each other was talking about, meaning she could interpret things differently.

Listening to her speak he knew that she wasn't going to give in to him. She had set her mind on it and well she was also very stubborn. She had been for as long as he knew her. It was sort of funny really but in a way he admired her for it. If there was something that she wanted she could set her mind on it and usually she would succeed. That was a quality that Seth didn't really have. If there was something that he wanted sometimes he'd just feel as though he couldn't do it or that he just shouldn't try. There were many times where he lacked in determination but that was something that he should work on in the future. Maybe he would turn it into a new short term goal. Something like that, eventually he'd be able to succeed in things, hopefully. "Well.. um when you say it like that.." He started but then shook his head when he saw the small smirk that had formed on her lips, "No, nevermind, i'm still disgusted with you" He said before turning away from her. He was obviously joking since there was no way in the world that he could actually be disgusted or upset with her. He was only teasing her and it was quite enjoyable.
Feeling her tap on his shoulder he listened as she spoke. A small grin appeared on his face but he didn't answer her. He stayed quiet as he looked away. But then the grin quickly went away from his face as he noticed her walk around so that she was facing him now. What was she doing? He wasn't really sure but then he saw it. "No, no, no" He said and closed his eyes. It was his weakness, she was giving him her cute puppy dog look. She knew how that affected him, it was like the kryptonite to his superman. He would always give into that face. There was never a time when he could say no, what was he suppose to do. His eyes were still closed, he wasn't sure if she still had that face on or what. He was curious about it so he slowly opened them. There it was, it hadn't disappeared and now he had gotten sucked into it. He couldn't look away now he just couldn't. It was impossible. As he looked down at her he began to speak again, "Steph I'm sorry." Yeah he didn't really even do anything wrong, it was that face. That face that had so much power over him. The face that he just couldn't ignore.
After she questioned him about Sarah he nodded. Yeah he knew her, she was Blake's best friend. She had introduced them over the summer when Seth had first moved to Miami and they became friends. They weren't extremely close but she was someone that he enjoyed hanging out with. They usually had a good time together so it was all good really. "Yeah I do" He stated, "She's Blake's best friend and we hang out together at times" he said elaborating a little on the subject. He didn't say much but just enough to give her an idea on how they knew each other. He began to smile when she laughed about his statment, the one he had made about not killing her. "Alright go ahead, keep telling yourself that" He stated with a teasing tone in his voice but then he watched as her hands fell from her hips to her sides. It had happened right after he poked her nose. A couple thoughts drifted onto his mind, was she thinking about when he use to do that? Back when they were dating? It was possible and then for some reason he had a feeling that she was. He couldn't totally tell, it was just a gut feeling. Plus the way she blushed made him think that, wait she blushed? Yeah, she had. Her cheeks had turned a light shade of pink and it was because of what he had done. He had just made her blush. Wow, he hadn't done that in ages, it felt good.
"Yeah.." He said quietly as he began to stare into her eyes. He didn't want to but he couldn't help it. They were so beautiful, plus the touch of her skin against his. It just sent weird feelings throughout his body. Weird but amazing feelings. Still staring into them he gave her a nice, warm smile but then began to pull his gaze away from them. Well he tried but it wasn't going very well but then finally he succeeded. He had pulled it away from her eyes and was now looking down at their hands. Their pinkies were still intertwined but then he began to laugh softly, "You have a very small pinky" He said as he looked at it but then back at her with a small, shy smile on his face. Letting go of her pinky he moved his hand back down to his side but then began to laugh at her. Her reaction to getting a free drink was quite funny. She had raised her hands in the air and seemed to excited about it. "I can tell that you do" He said with a grin on his face, "So you're getting a free drink, will I be getting one also?" He asked still grinning. He would buy her one or two, depending on how many she wanted really but now he was wondering if she'd ever consider buying him one.
Earlier in this conversation there had been a few awkward silences. Now there was another silence that had come over them but it wasn't awkward, not one bit. It just seemed, well, normal. That there wasn't anything wrong with it. It just gave them time to think about each other's reply which was good since it had turned into a serious conversation. They needed to think about things because it wouldn't be good to just say things now without thinking about them first. Especially since it was possible for him to say something that he might regret. Like admitting his feelings to her. It's not that he would actually regret it, he just didn't want to mess up their new friendship. The one that they were trying to repair. "I think so" He said with a serious tone as he nodded while looking at her.
But then their serious moment was suddenly interrupted. The song Never too late by Hedley started playing and Seth realized that it was his phone ringing. He reached into his pocket and took out his blackberry, looking at it he noticed that the caller id read Jamie's name. "I'm sorry but I should take this" He said quickly to Stephanie and then answer his phone, "Yo Jimbo, what up?" He asked as he turned away slightly from Steph as he listened to the young man's reply, "Oh, well i'm kinda busy.. i guess i can come though, I'll see you in a few" He replied and then ended the call. Shoving his phone back into his pocket he looked back at Stephanie. "Um, I gotta go. That was the great James and apparently our dorm advisor is going around all the dorms meeting everyone and well I'm suppose to be there now" He said with a slight frown on his face. He didn't want to leave her but he knew that he had to. "I'll talk to you later though" He added with a small smile as he looked down at her, noting that she still had his notebook in her hand.

'Ill never turn my back on someone who loved me A smile formed on her lips when he began to speak, it was like the fact that she hadn't caved in made him cave in.Quite confusing really, but funny.Although he soon realized what she was up to and began to say he was disgusted in her so it sort of ruined her few seconds of glory."Oh come on, you baby" she teased as she stared him up and down"You cant be disgusted in me, I'm clearly amazing" she said turning around his statement from earlier when he said he was awesome, it was her turn now.Though she wasn't sure what he would say to it, if he would be stubborn like her or just say something else. She just stood in silence waiting to find out, her facial expression clearly stated she wished for him to say something.
Standing behind him as she tapped his shoulder Stephanie smiled to herself, she began to think of what she would have done if they were together. She probably would have demanded that he turned around right now or she would never kiss him again and that would have made him do it, she knew it, but obviously the circumstances were different and she couldn't say that.Giving up on trying to get his attention from behind she walked around him and stood in front giving her best puppy dog look and it seemed to be working.Hearing him say no and close his eyes she couldn't help but laugh because she knew that it always got to him, whenever she wanted something from him in the past she would always do that expression and he would cave in, it was like her superpower against him. When he opened his eyes and apologized she gave a sincere smile "Well if you feel like you have to say sorry, i will accept it" she said in sort of a teasing tone as she felt happy with herself.
She kept thinking about him, how he was so sweet to her and always made sure she was happy, he was the definition of amazing.Listening to how he knew Sarah she still felt that sting of jealousy hit her.So she was his cousins best friend, so what? Why did they need to hang out.Maybe it would have made her feel better if she didn't hate Sarah so much, but she did and there was nothing she could so about it.She wasn't going to let Steph see how bitter she felt about this though because she had learned from the past, how much he didn't like it when she was TOO bitchy."Oh, OK then..i bet she talks about me doesn't she" she said through gritted teeth trying but failing to be nicer.
Seeing his eyes directly in front of hers, feeling that same feeling she used to experience it was so amazing. The way his eyes just locked together with hers, it felt so right, too right infact.Watching his eyes slowly drift to their hands she also did the same, maybe they had held on a little longer than a pinky promise should have lasted but who cared? They were in their moment though both of them would probably deny it, at least she would.Stephanie laughed when he made the comment about the size of her finger "psh, you just have an over sized one..im normal" she smiled back keeping a joking tone in her voice yet it was soft and soothing."Hmm i guess if you behave well, i might just be a nice Steph and buy you a drink" she replied at his request and winked at him.
The moments of silence, the gaze into his eyes, her heart beat increasing by the second, it felt so...interupted? The sound of his cell phone startled her a little, she looked at his pocket as his hand reached in and took out the phone, watching him answer it she sighed, not a good sigh, an upset sigh.Of all times.Realizing that he was going to leave now she just frowned to herself, trust this to happen..she looked down at her nails as she tapped her foot lightly against the floor, not even making eye contact with him when he told her he was going to leave."I gathered" she replied in a less than nice tone when he explained, looking up to him one last time she noticed he looked upset too, like he didn't want to leave, that made her feel a little guilty about being so bitter."Bye" she said sweetly in a sudden change of tone as she followed the direction of his eyes , she handed over the notebook and gave a small, upset wave as he began to walk away.Turning her back on him also she started to walk, looking at the ground wondering where things would go from there.
